The main goal of the project is to develop an education program in the field of sustainable development and sustainable consumption and to increase the knowledge, awareness, and involvement of business students in environmental issues.
The project is carried out in cooperation with five partner universities: Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (Czech Republic); Miguel Hernandez University of Elche (Spain); Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (Slovakia); University of Szeged (Hungary); University of Zagreb (Croatia)
The project focuses on creating an involving concept of teaching sustainability for students of business-related studies which will result in raising awareness and involvement in the problems of sustainability. Additionally, SUSTA aims at providing a research background in order to develop a syllabus, developing a dictionary of required skills and competencies regarding sustainability, preparing e-books, preparing real-world example case studies, and creating movies on teaching #sustainability.
One of SUSTA's goals is to increase the awareness of #environmental and #climate issues. Based on the report "European Attitudes to Climate Change and Energy" (2018), Spain was the country with the highest concern of people about climate change (over 70% extremely worried about it), whereas in other countries that level was moderate (Czech Republic - 41%), and in some was low: Poland - 35%, Hungary - 26%.
