The Faculty of Economics and Management in CZU Prague is a prestigious educational and research institution. More than 10 000 applications received every year show the high interest between prospective students. FEM offers a high variety of subjects, possibility of internships in many partner institutions abroad and modern facilities comparable to all prestigious European universities.
The long term aim of the faculty is to offer supreme and complex education with focus on enhancement of economic, scientific, creative, academic, cultural and social abilities of each individual student. The aim is based on the national democratic and humanitarian traditions. Personal development is an important advantage, which often leads to a success in the highly competitive environment on the job market and in life. The FEM academic staff is contributing by its academic and research activities to the enhancement of education level in population that is necessary for the development of overall intelligence and quality of life around the world. The Faculty of Economics and Management in CZU Prague is continuously developing and enhancing its quality, which is one of the aspects why it is among the most popular faculties with the focus on economics, management, public administration or informatics in the Czech Republic.
The faculty administers the agrarian portal Agris and publishes scientific journals Agris Online and ERIES Journal. Efficiency and Responsibility in Education, Think Together and Agrarian Perspectives are conferences regularly organised by the faculty and facilitated by the university. The Agrarian Perspectives conference was organised for the first time in 1991 and since then it became an annual meeting of Czech and foreign scientists, managers and professionals in management, economic, rural development, informatics, communication technology and other fields. The key discussed topic of the conference is the sustainable development in agrarian sector in the course of European integration.
The faculty offers its students possibility to obtain various certifications, such as TOEIC – the Test of English for International Communication, Cisco Academy and others, to students. Furthermore, the University assists its students by offering them a number of other benefits, such as free-of-charge educational software, various online applications, and hands-on experience. It also supports their professional development, including consultancy in the choice of a job on the online jobs.pef.czu.cz portal as well as a possibility of help with creating their own entrepreneurial projects through the PointOne Hub incubator.
The Faculty of Economics and Management also provides a possibility to study at eight affiliated educational centres around the Czech Republic. Additionally, it has the most extensive online University of the Third Age (Lifelong Learning) platform in the Czech Republic.
