In correlation with the development of modern technologies and society, a fundamental question regarding the future of the countryside arises: How to ensure that the countryside will withstand the complex and dynamic environment full of new challenges, that will inevitably emerge during the 21st century? On the one hand, rural areas have a number of important resources that can potentially contribute to the sustainable growth of these localities, but on the other hand it will be important to be able to exploit new innovations in the future so that - even in the specific context of rural areas (very different from cities) - they can contribute to the inclusive growth and a better quality of life for people living in rural areas. The purpose of this project, which is based on applied research, is to find out how the main technological forces can potentially change the shape of the countryside and under which conditions can these changes be used in rural development. Partners from practice (National Network of LAG CR, LAG Czech North, LAG Moravian Karst, Pošembeří Region) as well as the Ministry for Regional Development of the Czech Republic participate in the solution of this project. The main output of this project is a methodology for the Ministry of Regional Development, which will help implement the concept of "Countryside 3.0" in the application sphere.
