Through new identification cards, the university electronic wallet, or UEW, is an electronic payment system for CZU students and employees providing users with an easy and centralized way of paying for the offered goods and services that the university and contractors working on the CZU premises provide. This primarily consists of payments for meals at Mensa, dormitory payments, student fees, payments for printing and library services, and the possibility to pay at CZU cafeterias and restaurants on the university premises, etc.
How to obtain the UEW
CZU employees can use the UEW via their employee cards or ITIC cards, as well as full-time students who own an ISIC card.
Who the UEW is intended for
The UEW is primarily intended for CZU employees and full-time students. CZU guests may also use the UEW (visiting professors...). A host may obtain a card for a guest at the SIC card centre. The UEW will be made available to students who are not studying full-time as of January 2011 when all students will be issued cards with Mifare DESFire chips.
More information and contact information for technical support can be found on the UEW Website and Card Centre.
Please contact Ing. Tomáš Patočka regarding all problems associated with the University Electronic Wallet.
