The department offers its students to gain insight into the essentials of accounting, taxes, trade and finance with special emphasis on interconnection of these fields. Students will learn the basic knowledge from the above mentioned field during the bachelor studies which will be further developed and deepened within the master studies. The gained theoretical knowledge is then applied in Bachelor or Master theses where students can work on real-life projects set up through the cooperation of the department and the commercial sphere. The Doctorate candidates of the department are specifically focused on the problematics of corporate and sectoral economics.
The department aims for the development of scientific research in cooperation with commercial and state sphere offering solutions that are applicable in practise. Furthermore, scientific conferences are organised every year by the department especially in the field of international taxation and trade. The department’s academic staff are professionals with wide range of practical and theoretical knowledge and great teaching abilities.
