The Faculty of Economics and Management at the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague is pleased to share the recent accomplishments of its international program in Economics and Management students. On April 3rd, five exceptional teams were chosen out of twenty to present their innovative strategies aimed at bringing digital accessibility services to a foreign market in the Actum company.
For two semesters, these dedicated students worked tirelessly, taking courses in Strategic Marketing and Management Strategy, under the guidance of Jana Pitrová and Jan Havel from the Department of Managemet. They completed a multitude of assignments, conducted field research, designed end-user personas, PESTLE analyses, and SWOT strategies, and utilized segmentation and targeting techniques to create effective value propositions.
The evaluation committee at the final presentations in the Actum company consisted of both teachers, but also the industry experts - Ondřej Pohl, Head of Accessibility & UX at ACTUM Digital, Vít Václavík (Accessibility specialist) and head of the management department Ladislav Pilař. Although it was a difficult task, the committee selected the best 3 teams that got several appreciations for their incredible work and performance. Nonetheless, the true reward for them lies in the skills and knowledge they have gained throughout the program, which will undoubtedly aid them in their future career
The collaboration between academia and industry has been a crucial factor in the success of the program. This partnership allowed the students to gain a deeper understanding of the industry and learn from experts in the field, thus preparing them for future careers. We would like to thank to the Actum company and the Faculty of Economics and Management for the long term support of these projects!
