From June 14 to June 25, 2024, the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM), Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague hosted a delegation of academic staff from Tishreen University in Syria under the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program KA171, call 2023, framework.
The delegation represented the following members:
Prof. Sawsan Ghazal, Dr. Ghassan Fandi, Ph.D., Prof. Marwan Issa, and Mgr. Juliet Nassar.
The delegation engaged in training activities to improve their academic and professional knowledge.
Key discussions took place with Prof. Ing. Luboš Smutka, Ph.D., vice-dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management (FEM) and head of the Department of Trade and Finance at FEM and with Doc. Ing. Inna Čábelková, Ph.D. (FEM) focusing on the economic and health impacts of climate change.
Program coordinators Assoc. prof. Ing. Vladimír Krepl, CSc. and Ing. Ghaeth Fandi, Ph.D. contributed significantly to the topic and provided insight into advanced research methodologies and graduate study systems.
Another important part of the program was a meeting with Ing. Jan Hučko, Ph.D., head of the international relations office at PEF, which aimed to discuss in detail international exchange strategies and improvements to the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility program KA171, call 2023.
These interactions enriched the delegation's understanding of international exchanges in the academic field, in the university administration processes regarding the unification of databases, research practices, and the presentation of research outputs in publications in prestigious, international and impactful professional journals.
