Since 2016 the students of the Faculty of Economics and Management have been involved in activities of the BeFair student organization and in the joint facilitation of events promoting the idea of Fair Trade. The faculty thus shows its commitment to the principles of social responsibility. The concept of Fair Trade promotes decent working conditions, environmental sustainability, community development, fair prices and a ban on child labour.
At FEM you can buy Fair Trade products (chocolates, wafer bars) from the vending machines or have a Delicomat brand Fair Trade coffee.
Thanks to the BeFair student organization at CZU the students can familiarise themselves with the principles and products of Fair Trade as well as with the sustainable development in general. Every year you can visit the Fair Trade breakfast, International Fair Party or travel lectures. During the year, you can also come across an exhibition and coffee tasting and other events.
Fair Trade issues are also often dealt with by FEM students in their undergraduate and diploma theses.
